| NEWS Oct 2009 | It was a Summer of three halves.
The shows that we rolled out were amazing, relentlessly beautiful as someone said. Small World Spring was golden, Glastonbury rocked, Buddhafiedl was total bliss, the Secret Garden Party was a ball and the Small World Summer was just sheer joy. It was heartening to see a new generation of artists really make the Small World their home, some inspired into festival music by sitting in the space and being as warmed as everyone else. Seeing the artists work together, learn form each other, enjoy each other's music and company is a deep joy and seeing the crew blend into this mix just adds to the pleasure. Creativity, friendship and love are an infectious mix. Sharing the Small World with Rowan, our little boy was an adventure all of it's own, seeing his little round face light up, seeing the love he can generate with his laughing eyes. Showing him everything, everyone, his excited laugh, meeting everyone, showing him music..... he watched a band for half an hour, total joy and concentration, following the musicians as they take the lead in a song, half an hour, he only plays with toys for half a minute before moving on. The third half was the loss of the Big Green Gathering. Taken out by the Police/Council. So much pain caused for so little reason to such beautiful people. The BGG are working on their new beginning, we'll be there. |

| Very Happy News | Hello Lovelies. We’ve been aching to tell this news for nine months now. Emma gave birth to our gorgeous little boy, Rowan. He was born at 4am on Monday 16th February. We are in love. |

Just to reassure you all. The Small World Festivals are going ahead as usual, with one or two little additions. We can’t wait to share our joy with you all. The dates for this year are: Tickets will be available mid March. We'll let you know when they are available to reserve. We have a full Summer of bookings:- See you in a sunny field |

We will certainly be out in the fields next Summer in full force with the Festival and all the usual events we support. But if you need a dose of Small World Magic then make the most of November’s RumbleTeaser and a planned New Years Eve RumbleTeaser, as we cannot guarantee more indoor gatherings this winter.
